The Black Dog Beer House, in Brentford, West London is on the lookout for a talented Sous chef to join our team of motivated passionate chefs.
We are a free of tie establishment, committed to supporting small producers and family businesses.Offering an every changing eclectic menu, and innovative beverage selection, we have quicklybecome “The Place” to go in the area.
We are now seeking to employ an ambitious career minded individual who is looking to work with a forward thinking company that has plans for future expansion.
Duties and responsibilities will include:Supporting the head chef, in collaboration with our other talented Sous chef, in the general runningof the kitchen.Managing the kitchen staff, including assisting with staff rota.Leading by example and assisting to oversee the kitchen operations, including cooking and preparing meals, checking food quality and supervising cooking procedures/techniques.Training junior chefs.Helping the head chef to create food menus and specials dishes.Ensuring the kitchen meets high standards of quality, hygiene and cleanliness.Completing food hygiene documents and kitchen diary to comply with the law.Assist with ordering supplies and communicating with suppliers when necessary.Managing inventory and keeping control of stock.Organising and supervising fresh and dry produce rotation.
